How to Make My Own Bleach Cleaner?
This is the subject of an email I got the other day from a reader of my site. However, with some many highly accessible bleach cleaners out there I really don’t get why one should want to make his own homemade cleaner and to use it. Chemical ones that can be found in almost every hardware store are not only cheap, but quite effective no matter what you are trying to wash. However, even if already refuse using lemon as natural product versus bleach, and then I would have to reveal some of the techniques and methods of creating your own cleaner of this type. Remember that I sharing my own experience and without the consultation of a professional you better not do it at home for safety reasons.
So, the first thing that you need to know is that your bleach cleaner can be made at home with ease, if you know what you are doing. That’s why if you really love such products and want to stop from buying brand produced ones you can make it right in your own apartment. Another aspect about do it on your own (DIY) is that you save the nature of being exposed to another carbon footprint by constantly reusing the same old bottle. I guess this is the nicest aspect of making your own bleach cleaner at home. Besides being really easy to understand how to do this kind of cleaner, there are some other benefits like educating your children (promote creativity), constantly recycling and getting the strength of the bleach that you want and need in your household.
Even if when making bleach in your own home, the ratio is often controlled by you, it is still recommended that you don’t over exaggerate with more than ten parts water and one part bleach. I guess this is more than enough to create that perfect bleach cleaning solution to start washing everything starting with your bathroom and ending with your kitchen sink, etc. An empty container – this is what you are going to need. Pour one part of bleach and then poor the rest of the water. After handling this process make sure you carefully shake the bottle for a good mixture of both to happen. The solution needs to be mixed well before applying. Mixed for about 30 seconds and you are done. There is no reason to do it more. The moment you are done, guess what… you are holding in your very hands a perfect homemade bleach cleaner… a great product that can become a rival (in terms of quality) to all the other existing on today’s market.
When doing your bleach-water mixture, make sure to select a proper container that is not going to be dissolved by bleach. This is very important. Find a bleach resistant one; otherwise you risk the chance of remaining without the bottle or container. I’ve talked about surfaces that can support the effects of bleach in my previous articles. I’ve even mentioned what can bleach cause to marble floors. However, it is important that you understand its universal use starting with sinks in your bathroom and kitchen, seats and bowls in your toilet, counter tops, etc. Be creative and you are going to realize soon that most surfaces in your house can be easily cleaned with the use of bleach. As there are many lemon scented bleach cleaners on the market today, if you want more originality to your home made product, you can add a few table spoons of lemon acid into the container to make it smell better. (Read our article lemon juice vs. bleach cleaner for more information.)
Remember that I wouldn’t suggest preparing your own bleach cleaner at home if you are time lacking. However, if you feel that there are several hours each and every day that you don’t know what to do about you can easily find solutions to make your own bleach cleaner and stop regularly purchasing the same diluted substance from the hardware store. Recycling and reducing the carbon footprint is also great when doing something like this, because you are contributing to the protection of the environment and all the existing living beings. Most of the animals are helpless on this planet and they depend on the emission of carbon by large companies in order to exist. Believe it or not, but when you decide to start producing your own bleach cleaner you contribute to the salvation of the whole planet and the human kind, even if most of you would think that this is a joke. Remember, the more people are soon going to understand this, the better. Understanding the positive and negative sides of using bleach is just the beginning. The next important step is to take action and realize that you have the powers required to do something about it.
